Alexa Barrus
Human Resources Generalist and Financial Assistant
Alexa Barrus currently serves as the Human Resources Generalist and Financial Assistant for the Partnership. She is also a co-coordinator of the Partnership’s Fellowship/Intern program.
Before relocating to the D.C. area, Alexa was the Finance Manager for a large physical therapy office and also worked in various departments in the Nevada gaming industry. Alexa earned a B.S. in Business Administration from Eastern Oregon University with a double minor in Marketing and Management. While attending Eastern, she was involved in the student government as a Student Senator and later the Political Affairs Executive. She was also the Marketing Director of the campus activities organization and a “team co-coordinator” marketing intern for General Motors.
In January of 2010, Alexa completed her Professional in Human Resources (PHR) credentials and she is currently seeking a Compensation Professional (CCP) Certification. Alexa commits herself to being involved in the community, especially working with youth. She currently is involved as a high school and college volleyball official and has volunteered for Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.
