Laura Howes
Associate Manager, Annenberg Leadership Institute
Laura Howes is the Associate Manager of the Annenberg Leadership Institute – a government-wide development program for rising leaders. She joined the Partnership for Public Service in March of 2007. In her role, Laura designs and structures the Annenberg Leadership Institute curriculum, facilitates class activities and works with faculty members to coordinate class sessions. Laura also serves as the project consultant to five Annenberg Fellows from the Veterans Health Administration who are working together to create new approaches to recruiting mission critical talent.
Prior to joining the Partnership, Laura was a Research Analyst with the Corporate Executive Board where she completed numerous research reports profiling best practices in human capital management. Laura also served as a Quantitative Research Analyst where she designed surveys and analyzed quantitative data related to employee recruitment.
Laura graduated summa cum laude from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a double major in Public Policy Analysis and Political Science. While in school, Laura interned with the North Carolina General Assembly where she worked to reform the process of restitution. Laura also worked with the North Carolina Committee to Defend Health Care, a non-profit organization that strives to ensure that all Americans have access to affordable and quality health care.
