Jonathan Kappler joined research team at the Partnership for Public Service in April 2007.

At the Partnership, Jonathan has worked on several major reports, studies and projects. He has been involved in the development and creation of Where the Jobs Are: Mission Critical Opportunities for America, A Golden Opportunity: Recruiting Baby Boomers Into Government, Best Places to Work in the Federal Government and the State of the Public Service initiative. Jonathan is also managing key upcoming reports about effective onboarding in the federal government as well as an in-depth survey of the Chief Human Capital Officers.

Prior to joining the Partnership Jonathan was a Graduate Fellow at the National Association of Development Organizations where he researched and wrote reports and articles on rural economic development. Additionally, he has interned with the John Locke Foundation, U.S. Senator John Edwards, and the North Carolina State Senate.

Jonathan graduated summa cum laude from Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina with Honors degrees in Political Science and Spanish, and a minor in History. While at Appalachian, Jonathan was an active campus leader and community volunteer. Jonathan also holds a Master of Public Policy from American University’s School of Public Affairs.
