Richard Schlosberg
Former President, David and Lucile Packard Foundation
Richard Schlosberg is the Immediate Past President of The Packard Foundation, which funds programs and activities in seven major areas: Science, Conservation, Population, Arts, Organizational Effectiveness, Philanthropy, and Children, Families, and Communities.
Prior to his arrival at The Packard Foundation, Schlosberg served as the publisher and CEO of the Los Angeles Times and of the Denver Post. He serves on the board of KCET (the Los Angeles PBS station), is a Trustee of the National Air and Space Museum at the Dulles Center, and is a member of the Pomona College Board of Trustees in Claremont. He is a past campaign chairman of the Los Angeles United Way and the Denver United Way. Schlosberg has also served on the boards of Junior Achievement and the Library Foundation of Los Angeles.
A graduate of the United States Air Force Academy, Schlosberg also earned a master's degree in business administration from the Harvard Business School. He served five years as an Air Force pilot and is a veteran of the Vietnam War.
