PARTNERSHIP FOR PUBLIC SERVICE HIRES NEW VICE PRESIDENT FOR DEVELOPMENT, CHRISTINE CARROLL

WASHINGTON – The Partnership for Public Service today announced that Christine Carroll has joined the organization as Vice President for Development. A seasoned nonprofit fundraiser with more than 15 years of experience, Carroll will lead the organization’s full range of development efforts.

“The addition of Christine Carroll is a coup for the Partnership for Public Service,” said Max Stier, the organization’s president and CEO. “With her significant development experience, Christine is the perfect candidate to help us meet our mission through the support of foundations, corporations and individuals.”

Prior to joining the Partnership, Carroll worked as the Chief Development Officer at the National Partnership for Women and Families, a national nonprofit advocacy group dedicated to improving the lives of women and families. There she oversaw efforts to secure the organization’s $7 million budget.

Carroll also spent five years as the Director of Development for the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, where she helped grow the organization’s private-sector revenue from $1.6 million to more than $8 million annually.

Carroll will lead the Partnership’s efforts to increase individual giving, secure corporate sponsorships and foundation support for the Partnership’s research, education and awareness activities, including its Best Places to Work in the Federal Government rankings, the prestigious Service to America Medals program that honors outstanding federal workers each year, and Public Service Recognition Week, the annual nation-wide celebration of public service.

The Partnership was founded with a generous grant from its chairman, New York City businessman Samuel J. Heyman, who started the nonprofit in 2001 to inspire more of the nation’s best and brightest to consider public service careers. In addition, the Partnership has received a number of major foundation grants to fund its programs, including support from The Annenberg Foundation and The Atlantic Philanthropies.

The Partnership for Public Service works to revitalize the federal government by inspiring a new generation to serve and by transforming the way government works.  For more information, visit www.ourpublicservice.org.
