PARTNERSHIP FOR PUBLIC SERVICE APPLAUDS HOUSE FOR PASSING LEGLISLATION TO ENCOURAGE TELEWORK IN THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT
WASHINGTON – Partnership for Public Service President and CEO Max Stier released the following statement on the House passage of the Telework Enhancement Act of 2010 (HR 1722):
“In a time when the federal government is under pressure to cut spending and work more efficiently, we are confident that this legislation will not only save the government money, but will promote increased productivity in the federal workforce.
We applaud Representatives John Sarbanes (D-Md.), Frank Wolf (R-Va.) and Gerry Connolly (D-Va.) for their leadership in championing this legislation. Telework is an important tool for an effective government and a necessary policy to ensure continuity of operations during a crisis.”
